OK Google

OK Google comes to Chrome Beta

If you’re rocking a Chromebook, this is hardly news worthy. OK Google came to Chromebooks awhile ago. If you’re rocking a Linux, Windows or MacOS machine, this news is for you.

OK Google has been added to the Google Chrome Beta list of awesome features.

That’s about all I got. If you don’t know what OK Google is, you’re missing out. When activated, you can just say “OK Google” then give Google a command. Here are some of my favorite OK Google commands that I use on my HTC DNA all the time:

OK Google, navigate to 123 Nowhere st NW Cedar Rapids, Michigan 12345
OK Google, set alarm for 7 a.m.
OK Google, set timer for 12 minutes (perfect for cooking)
OK Google, text Johnny McConnell, what time are we playing Halo today?
OK Google, call Jimmy Johns
OK Google, how many ounces are in a pound?
OK Google, open Angry Birds

Anybody have any other neat OK Google tips or tricks?
